LiTROS Horizontal Seaming
The horizontal edge grinding machine offers a fully automated solution for seaming all four sides of rectangular glass panes. It ensures uniform, process-reliable edge processing at high speed and reliably prepares the glass panes for downstream processes.
Through horizontal processing with diamond grinding wheels, the top and bottom edges of each glass side are processed separately. This ensures consistent results and stable process quality.
The machine consists of:
Tilting entry table
Sanding bed with four grinding heads
Grinding head: Two seperate grinding wheels for top and bottom
Exit conveyor
Rubberized transport wheels and additional suction straps
Vacuum system with ring blower

Function & procedure

How does the system worl?
Glass sheet is inserted horizontally into the machine, automatically recognized and precisely positioned. This is done using automatic glass measurement in combination with the digital servo control system.

How is the processing carried out?
The processing is carried out with diamond grinding wheels. Two grinding wheels are used per glass edge so that the top and bottom edges can be seamed independently of each other. The air pressure-based pressing system enables flexible processing of different glass thicknesses without manual height adjustment.

How is it glass sheet transported?
Glass is transported via rubberized rollers and suction belts, which gently guide the window and protect sensitive surfaces.
